Have the cumulative effect of being really triggering. I think the idea of people wanting me to celebrate my father is completely messed up, considering the years of abuse and fucked up, horrible bullshit. But I can’t open my e-mail, or look at a newspaper without that reminder that the vast majority of people out there have fathers they love, fathers they are thankful for and would want to celebrate with a day. Lucky them.

I got back on inline skates this morning. And although it’s not quite the same as being back on my quads, it didn’t hurt and felt both comfortable and natural to skate again.
6 months since the tailbone injury and I’m almost feeling like derby things could start happening again.
Baby steps, but steps forward.
